The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II OR is an optic ready, no frills, modern sporting rifle chambered in 5.56NATO/223REM featuring Smith & Wesson quality and reliability. Upper and lower receivers are made from 7075 T6 aluminum. The M&P Sport has a chromed firing pin, gas key, and bolt carrier for increased resistance to wear and ease of cleaning. Smith & Wesson uses an Armornite® Finish on the interior and exterior of the barrel to provide enhanced corrosion and wear resistance. This rugged AR15 uses a gas block with a QD sling swivel attachment point on the bottom and integral Picatinny rail to mount a front sight or accessories on top. The Sport II OR has a 16” threaded barrel with 1:9 twist and A2 flash hider. A forged integral trigger guard is large enough for gloved hands and the six position adjustable stock allows plenty of range for any body type. Of course all of the standard AR features you expect are there like a brass deflector and forward assist. If you are looking for a rock solid entry level AR that you can accessorize and make your own, the M&P Sport II OR is the rifle for you.
