An 18″ fixed cylinder choke barrel with a single bead front sight works well in confined spaces and works well with slugs or defensive loads. Thanks to the extended tube magazine, the 870 Hardwood boasts a 6+1 capacity using 2.75″ shells. The 870 incorporates a reliable cross bolt safety at the back of the trigger guard with a bolt release in front which can be used to eject a live round from the chamber without firing the weapon. The 870 hardwood is a reliable and effective home defense option that points well and provides the capacity you need without any “tacticool” gimmicks.
